Soli-Lunar Cycle: Full Moon in Aquarius

The Full Moon unfolded on August 11 at 6:35 pm PDT with the Sun at 19° Leo opposing a tight Moon/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius, with all three in a dynamic T-square configuration with a Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction in Taurus.

The Full Moon phase represents the fulfillment or realization of whatever emerging idea was born at the New Moon. At this stage, we know the outcomes of our previous decisions and actions. To take advantage of what is revealed or realized, we could shift our perspective to view each situation as impartially as possible. Power and energy are at their peak during this period, which motivates us to take further actions.

During this phase, the Sun in Leo asks us to explore themes of leadership and the creative process. Moon/Saturn in Aquarius asks us to be responsible and accountable for how our behavior impacts those around us and the greater whole of society. As the luminaries’ squares to Uranus progresses, we may suddenly realize a need to respect our limitations or those of others. While these limitations may not be new, spontaneous insights can move us beyond mere mental awareness to seeing a clear necessity for action. Internally dealing with limitations includes identifying counterproductive patterns or behaviors that interfere with continuous, steady personal joy and growth. Dealing with the limitations of others requires moving beyond frustration and establishing simple boundaries based on our needs.

The decision to change something is often prompted by profound moments of Uranian insight. Accepting our limits and establishing needed boundaries will create internal space to live in the present. By focusing on the here-and-now we can kindle our own fire and allow our internal spark to live, breathe and grow. This will ensure the shining Leo fire will not be dimmed by the necessities of respecting needed restrictions and structures that help maintain stability. To remain creativity, we must not let the memories of old ways hold us back. If we work creatively and persistently over time toward our goals, express our needs and establish boundaries, we can make lasting progress.

The archetypal effects of the volatile Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction are amplified throughout this lunar cycle through progressive tension-filled engagements with the planets in fixed signs. These planetary movements seem to be correlating to sudden crises and disruptions erupting on the world stage and in many personal lives. From the Transpersonal Astrology perspective, crisis is associated with opportunity because it carries the potential to activate intensified alchemic heat. The transformational process can include lightning bolt cognitions that lead to big leaps in consciousness. But more often it is the numerous small insights combined with steady persistence that leads us to break free from our resistances and belief systems. This then leads us to build strength and momentum to face life’s challenges with integrity and equanimity and earn greater freedom to be our own authority.

Following the archetypal map of our birth chart, we evolve from perpetuating the consequences of living in ego and chaos to the rewards of living the life we are meant to live. The more our soul leads us, the more we feel deeply engaged in the universal process of the evolution of consciousness.

Questions we might ask at this time include: How can I stay focused and creative? If we are going through a challenging experience, we could ask: How do I handle crisis? Is it something to be feared and run away from, or is it something to courageously face and embrace as a path to significant spiritual empowerment and maturity?

my pluto is 19 degrees Leo…so the full moon activated it….i came down with a sudden toothache (abscess)…bringing infection to the surface (very Plutonian). I had to take a deeper look at the symbolic representation of this.
    crazy!
