The intense search for truth shifts from an internal to an external focus when Jupiter in Scorpio stations direct on July 10. Representing our faith, the processes by which we broaden our knowledge, and the laws and ethics we mutually agree upon as the foundation for living together in harmony, Jupiter also connects us philosophically with the all-inclusive vision of galactic consciousness. In Scorpio, Jupiter’s archetypal zeal for exploration of the vastness of experience directs its contemplations to the depths of consciousness, the root of all creative power. As Jupiter pivots in the sky, its esoteric vibration focused with the intensity of a laser at the threshold of the ‘inertia busting’ eclipse season, we may recognize a new level of maturity within as a result of efforts made during the retrograde period that began on March 8. All we’ve come to realize from Jupiter’s transformational teaching about Scorpio’s gift of Non-Identification over the last four months, we can now put to work in our external lives being the observer while simultaneously being totally immersed in the most intimate ways. The Jupiter station just two days before a formidable Solar Eclipse opposite Scorpio’s ruler Pluto is a turbo-charged opportunity to fearlessly deploy any new truths we’ve learned into a life-changing experience.

The rare abundance of three strong and stable grand trine configurations unfolding in intuitive water signs over the last five weeks has correlated to a heightened sense of divine grace in an otherwise overloaded and weary world. But even more cosmically rare, the harmonious grand trine theme will continue with three more equilateral triangle formations across the elliptic through early September, but now with planets in productive earth signs. Duly attuned with the Love generated from the previous trines in Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, we now have the opportunity to manifest that flowing energy through the end of the summer under the reliable trinity of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn calling us to methodically prune, overhaul, upgrade or simply replace any dysfunctional systems for living in order to better sustain our collective quality of life.

The first grand earth trine is formed fromJuly 11 to 13when Venus in Virgo aligns with the planet of structure (Saturn) in Capricorn and the planet of innovation (Uranus) in Taurus. Venus governs our approach to interactions with others, with its highest level of expression being total relatedness, the most sought after life experience we desire. In Virgo, Venus’ archetypal need to connect is combined with a need to serve. It is our connection with others that brings us out of being completely selfish, which in turn gives relationships greater influence and meaning. Saturn in Capricorn, the sign it rules, governs how we master the skills of life with a high sense of integrity and responsibility. Those who accept this task without reservation generally find their way into being leaders who keep the structures of society humming. Uranus calls us to discover who we are as unique individuals and to dedicate our special gifts to serving humanity. It relies on freedom of expression and openness to innovation to maintain a path to a future that serves all. As this grand earth trine unfolds under record-breaking temperatures around the planet, may we collectively get to work on the need to address climate change so we don’t continue any further down the path of manifesting the global dustbowl envisioned in Interstellar.

The Cancer New Moon Solar Eclipse on July 12is extraordinarily potent because it is in exact opposition to Pluto in Capricorn. Whatever is going on right now should reach maximum intensity at this time. Issues of power and control may arise in relation to how well we are integrating our responsibilities between self, family and society. The best response to whatever transpires is to choose to stay present and handle what is needed. Solar Eclipses are uber-powerful New Moons that pack enough vibrational force to create movement in something that has been languishing in a state of inertia. Apathy, lethargy, inaction and/or plain stubbornness are not the best options. The more we consciously make an effort to align with the universal law of order, connection and Love the less we invite crisis into our lives and instead may be called upon to support those in our circle who are being given rude awakenings to show up for life.

Cancer represents the emerging need for connection and the Sun/Moon conjunction here represents the animus and anima united in the effort to experience belonging in the supportive, nurturing bosom of the cosmos. Pluto in Capricorn represents the force that demands total integration with the collective consciousness and the cyclical processes of death and rebirth it takes to get there. Pluto destroys the falsehoods we have about the reality of life so the truth can emerge. All that is inauthentic or works against this movement will crumble one way or another. The Cancer/Capricorn polarity also represents the Matriarchy and Patriarchy taking care of the needs of family and society respectively. With Pluto now more than half way through its transit of Capricorn (2008 – 2024), we’re seeing a exclusive Patriarchy in a desperate last grasp for power and a rising embracing Matriarchy. Perhaps all that needs to be done at this Solar Eclipse opposite the Great Destroyer is to let the devolutionary Patriarchy die so it can be transformed into its original all-inclusive purpose.
