Forecast for 2026

What about 2026?  Will it be different?  Yes, in some ways.  2025 was a “9” year (2+0+2+5=9), the end of a cycle, symbolizing a year for finishing things in preparation for 2026, a “1” year (2+0+2+6=10; 1+0=1), the beginning of a new cycle, symbolizing a year for starting new things.  For reference, the previous “9” year was 2016 (2+0+1+6=9), and the previous “1” year was 2017 (2+0+1+7=10; 1+0=1).  Did you start or acquire something in 2017 that culminated, ended, was sold, or disposed of in 2025?  If so, that is the essence of these nine-year recurring cycles.

So, will 2026 be better? Will it feel different?  In many ways, probably not, as there is a lot of energy and dynamics that are carrying over.  With most long cycles, things don’t make sharp changes; they flow as one year fades away and the new year grows and takes over.

Hi-Lights for April 2026

The name April (Aprilis) is thought to stem from the Latin aperio, meaning “to open”—a reference to the opening buds of springtime.

April starts with four exact major aspects, the last being the Libra Full Moon on April Fool’s Day.  The 3rd offers four major and three quincunx aspects followed by a pair of trines on the 4th and then the Sun will square Jupiter, and the Moon will go out-of-bounds South on the 5th.  On the 8th, Mars will go void-of-course and then enter Aries on the 9th as Mercury leaves their shadow.  The 10th may provide some relief with a trine and three sextiles as the Moon returns in-bounds.

04/01/26 – No April Fool’s Here!

With predominantly waning aspects and oppositions to start the month, you may want to make older work in progress and those things that have a close due date as your primary focus.  Just be sure to keep the new work coming in moving forward as well.

04/01/26 – 12:00 am – slowing Moon cardinal opposition Neptune

This opposition has the Moon in cardinal air Libra feeding the cardinal Aries fire through which Neptune is transiting.  Force air into a fire and it will burn stronger and  hotter.  Fires consume things, returning them to the air as smoke, ash, and sparks.  Neptune is known for dreams, illusions, and dissolving things, both physical and emotional.  Last year, during Neptune’s brief stint in Aries, March 30, 2025, to October 22, 2025, the Moon and Neptune made eight oppositions.  What was that period like for you?  Was there a common theme to the oppositions and conjunctions?  Did something new come into your life or perhaps, something older left?  It will be over 12 years before Neptune will leave Aries to test the solid ground of Taurus.  That is a lot, about 150 or so consecutive monthly Libra Moon Aries Neptune oppositions, so get used to that feeling.  Be sure to note any dreams, “a-ha” moments, feelings, or other sensations that may come to you during the night as they could provide important information for you.

04/01/26 – 5:41 am – slowing Moon waning air trine Pluto

This pause and plan your next action trine could be offering you a “heads up,” for what today might bring.  What was your first thought as you awoke?  What did you see, hear, or feel first?  If you have any, check your notes from the night for any insights while planning your day.

Less than 3/4 hour later (6:25 am), the slowing Moon will make another cardinal opposition, this time to Saturn, repeating the air of Libra feeding the fire of Aries.  Saturn wants to create structures.  He loves rules and responsibilities.  It is time to get real, find your balance and then choose and take your actions.  This is the second of 29 consecutive monthly Libra Moon Aries Saturn oppositions.  Get used to this feeling and theme, whatever they may be for you.

04/01/26 – 7:12 pm – slowing Full Moon cardinal opposition Sun

This Libra Full Moon, most commonly known as the Pink Moon, after the herb moss or wild ground phlox. Also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, Egg Moon, and Fish Moon. This Full Moon is at 12 Libra 21’. The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “Children blowing soap bubbles.”  This suggests that we need to remember and take time to relax and have some fun.  The Sun is exactly opposite at 12 Aries 21’.  The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “A bomb which failed to explode is safely concealed.”  Concealed, suggests hidden, but not necessarily disarmed, so it may still be dangerous as it could detonate.  Proceed with extreme caution.  Be alert and aware of your situation.  Tread lightly to avoid any missteps or getting thrown off balance.

Almost five hours later (11:56 pm), the slowing Moon will make a waning inconjunct/quincunx to shadow Mercury.  While you may not see it coming, with Mercury retracing their steps for a third time, you may get a feeling or sense of what may be coming.  It may be about something that you have forgotten to complete or do.

04/02/26 – 1:55 am – slowing Moon goes Void-of-Course

Following a waxing cardinal crisis of action square to shadow Jupiter, the Moon goes void-of-course for over 27 hours.  Coming at this time, pay attention to any dreams or insights you may have.  This square is about taking action on newer work in progress.  If you can, set aside any new things that may come up today until tomorrow morning, after the Moon has entered Scorpio.

Just over seventeen hours later (6:59 pm), the slowing Moon will make a waning inconjunct/quincunx to Mars.  What surprise may wait for you this evening?  It may be that something will upset your plans for tonight or remind you of something you forgot to finish.  If so, and you can, take care of it now.  Otherwise, put it at the top of your “to-do” list for tomorrow.

04/03/26 – 4:28 am – shadow Mercury waning water trine shadow Jupiter

This is the first major aspect of the day; however, about 1 1/2 hours earlier (2:59 am), the slowing Moon made a waxing inconjunct/quincunx to Uranus.  These are the first of four exact major and three quincunx aspects today. It could be a bumpy ride, so you may want to put on your gravity shoes and buckle up tight.  With Jupiter involved, you may be tempted to go big as you plan your next action; however, with both in their shadows, restraint is called for.  Choose your words carefully.  Don’t over promise as under delivering could cost you dearly.

The waxing quincunx comes before the opposition and provides an opportunity to make any last minute adjustments to your plans as you find your current balance point.

04/03/26 – 5:11 am – slow Moon enters fixed water Scorpio

Some may feel this shift from action oriented words and teamwork Libra into cold, deep, dark still waters of Scorpio.  Revenge may be sweet in the moment, but remember, “when setting out for revenge, first dig two graves,” whether they are symbolic or literal graves, the implication is that you may end up paying an equal or even greater price for your actions.  Ask yourself, is it worth it?

About 4 1/2 hours later (9:40 am), the slow Moon will make a waning inconjunct/quincunx to Neptune.  Did something you expected to turn out positive just collapse?  Remember, Neptune may also dissolve a structure, so be sure you are on solid ground before proceeding.

04/03/26 – 3:26 pm – slow Moon fixed opposition Venus

We have a real “cluster” here as just one minute later (3:27 pm simultaneously), the slow Moon will make a waning fixed crisis of consciousness square to Pluto and eleven minutes later (3:38 pm), Venus will make a waxing fixed crisis of action square to Pluto as these three bodies create a powerful fixed T-Square aspect pattern.  The opposition is to find balance; the waning square is to take action to consolidate and prepare what you are working on to be finished.  The waxing square is to keep things developing and moving forward.

The T-Square aspect pattern generates tension, challenges, but also opportunities to overcome them and grow.  Pluto, the planet squared by the Moon and Venus, represents the apex or point of tension.  All three are at 5 degrees of their respective fixed signs, Venus in Taurus, the Moon in Scorpio, and Pluto in Aquarius.  Those with planets at or near 5 degrees of one of those signs may experience this the strongest.  The empty fixed sign of Leo completes this T-square, turning it into a fixed Grand Cross.  The energy of this aspect pattern gives great focus, stamina, but also stubbornness.  Those with planets or sensitive points at 4-6 Leo, may also feel this strongly as if almost compelled to take some action.  When dealing with stressors or challenges around this time, pause, breathe, step back and focus on the solution, not the individual points of stress.

Just over one hour later (4:44 (Angel number) pm), the Moon will make a waning inconjunct/quincunx to Saturn.  The angel number 444 shows that you are on the right path.  Keep going, and you will get through whatever you may be dealing with and will be stronger for it.

04/04/26 – 12:42 pm – slow Moon waxing water trine shadow Jupiter

This pause and review of any recent actions trine offers an opportunity to reassess how you are doing.  It is Saturday, so this may be about things you are doing or have done at home or about work the past few days.  What are you feeling?  Did you see or hear something unusual recently?  These may serve to guide you as to which actions to review and what to watch out for.

About two hours earlier (10:32 am), the slow Moon made a waning inconjunct/quincunx to the Sun.  With this pair, your surprise may be an insight from an unexpected source into what you are dealing with and how to handle it.

04/04/26 – 3:25 pm – slow Moon waning water trine shadow Mercury

This is the pause and plan your next action trine.  What have you learned or done today?  This aspect may help you to “wash away any doubt,” and focus on the real issue at hand and the action to take.  Trust yourself.

04/05/26 – Happy Easter

04/05/26 – 3:15 am – slow Moon goes Out-of-Bounds South

As the Moon crosses 23 Scorpio 22’, She makes Her monthly journey low beyond the southern boundary of the Sun.  For the next five days some may find their focus being redirected to the past, to things done and left undone.  Some may find people or things from their past coming back into their life.  If so, don’t forget the present.  Find a balance between the past, present and future as you continue to move forward.

04/05/26 – 10:07 am – slow (OoBS) Moon waning water trine Mars

This is another pause and plan your next action trine.  You should be focusing on any work that has a short deadline, such as due tomorrow, this week, next week, or this month.  Keep in mind any other priorities while managing your work.

04/05/26 – 2:29 pm – slow (OoBS) Moon goes Void-of-Course

Following a fixed opposition to Uranus, the Moon goes void-of-course for just over two hours.  It is Sunday afternoon, so not starting anything new during this period shouldn’t be that hard.  Have you found a suitable balance in your life?  A balance between work and relaxation, between family, friends, and “me” time.

04/05/26 – 3:23 pm – Sun waning cardinal square shadow Jupiter

This crisis of consciousness square may be the “next action” you planned earlier with the waning water trine to Mars.  You did plan something, didn’t you?  If so, and appropriate, take it now.  If not, it’s not too late, but you need to act quickly.  With shadow Jupiter in cardinal water Cancer, whatever you do needs to FEEL right to you.

04/05/26 – 4:32 pm – slow (OoBS) Moon enters Sagittarius

Some may feel this shift from dark, deep, intense Scorpio into mutable fire, optimistic, inquisitive Sagittarius, but most won’t.  While you may not feel the shift, you may notice that things begin to feel different over the next couple of days as the Moon transits Sagittarius.

04/05/26 – 9:20 pm – slow (OoBS) Moon waning fire trine Neptune

What is on your schedule for tomorrow?  This pause and plan your next action trine offers you an opportunity to plan ahead for Monday.

04/06/26 – 3:10 am – slow (OoBS) Moon waning sextile Pluto

This is the finish something sextile as you plan what new thing you might start at their conjunction in about five days.  Coming at this time, note any dreams, insights, feelings, or other sensations that come to you in the night and on waking.  When your day gets started, look for clues in your notes.

Less than two hours later (5:03 am), the slow (OoBS) Moon will make a waning fire trine to Saturn.  As your day gets started, you should first take time to review your schedule, make any necessary changes, then plan your next action.

Almost five hours later (9:56 am), the slow (OoBS) Moon will make a waning inconjunct/quincunx to Venus.  This is the first aspect after their opposition on April 3.  What happened then?  Did you leave anything undone or pending?  Your surprise today may relate to something that you did or didn’t do on that date.  With Venus involved, it may have to do with a relationship or something that you are passionate about.

04/07/26 – 4:05 am – slow (OoBS) Moon waning fire trine Sun

Did something wake you early?  If so, note what it was, the time and as much detail as you can.  This is the pause and plan your next action trine.  Review your schedule, make your plan, then work it.

Almost three hours earlier (1:16 am), the slow (OoBS) Moon will make a waxing inconjunct/quincunx to shadow Jupiter.  Be sure to note any dreams, insights, feelings, or other sensations that may come to you during the night.

04/07/26 – 9:45 am – slow (OoBS) Moon waning fire trine shadow Mercury

It’s another waning fire trine.  This could be a good time to take a pause, review your plan and how your day is going.  Do you need to change your plans?  Consider your options carefully before deciding on your next action.

04/08/26 – 2:52 am – slow (OoBS) Moon goes Void-of-Course

Following a waning mutable crisis of consciousness square to Mars, the Moon goes void-of-course for just over two hours, until entering Capricorn at 5:04 am.  Did something wake you in the night?  If so, note the time, what it was, and as much detail as you can.  You should also note any dreams, especially if it is an unpleasant one.  Note as much detail about it as you can.

Just 23 minutes after going void-of-course (3:15 am), the Moon will make a waning inconjunct/quincunx to Uranus.  This could be a double surprise, or at least an unexpected one.  It may relate back to something from earlier in the night, perhaps a dream, something you saw, or thought you saw, heard, or felt.  There are no little details, so don’t leave anything out.

04/08/26 – 9:11 am – Mars waning sextile Uranus

This is the finish something and begin planning for a new thing to start with their conjunction on July 3.  Make it a point to complete something today.  Following this aspect, Mars goes void-of-course for over 27 hours.  When Mars is void-of-course, don’t make any impulsive decisions or get into any arguments.  Be extra cautious.  Watch out for the other guy, the one who causes accidents.  Avoid dark or unfamiliar places or situations.

Less than one hour later (10:06 am), the slow (OoBS) Moon will make a waning cardinal crisis of consciousness square to Neptune.  This is the consolidating square.  Time to let go of, eliminate, or set aside those things that aren’t working or don’t add value to the finished product that you are working on.  With Neptune involved, if you can imagine it, you can do it.

04/08/26 – 6:16 pm – slow (OoBS) Moon waning cardinal square Saturn

As the day winds down, Saturn is ready for His turn of the crisis of consciousness square.  This isn’t about what you can imagine or dream.  Now it’s about a reality check.  About doing what is real and achievable.  No shortcuts.  Follow the rules.

04/09/26 – 5:04 am – Mercury leaves their Shadow

As they cross into 22 Pisces 35’, Mercury leaves their shadow behind, entering new territory for this cycle.  With only Jupiter in His shadow and no planets retrograde for the next four weeks, this is your best chance to make great progress with whatever you may be working on.  Focus!

04/09/26 – 5:27 am – slow (OoBS) Moon waning earth trine Venus

It is another pause and plan your next action trine to start your day.  Review your schedule and what you have planned.  Then, take time to reconsider, change, or replan if you decide to.  With Venus in Her fixed earth Taurus home, allow your passion to come through.  What do you feel strongly about?  That can be your guide.

04/09/26 – 12:36 pm – Mars enters Aries

With Mars return to His cardinal fire home, take advantage of this unbridled energy to make things happen!  Remember, you are in control.

04/09/26 – 2:10 pm – slow (OoBS) Moon cardinal opposition shadow Jupiter

Once again, the Moon in Her detriment, is pitted against shadow Jupiter in his exaltation.  While it would seem to be advantage Jupiter, because He is in Cancer, ruled by the Moon, He still must “pay homage” to Her.  What the Moon wants, the Moon may get, just not as much or as nice as She would like.  Finding balance between two action oriented signs isn’t always easy as each wants what they want and they want it now.

04/09/26 – 9:52 pm – slow (OoBS) Moon waning cardinal square Sun

This crisis of consciousness square is the main lead into the coming New Moon on April 17.  What do you need to complete by that date?  What new thing do you want to start then?  Keep those things in mind as you follow your plan to consolidate and move your work toward completion.

04/10/26 – 4:44 am – slow (OoBS) Moon waning sextile Mercury

This is that special Angel number again.  What might that mean to and for you?  This is another finish something sextile and begin to plan what new thing to start with their conjunction.  Did something wake you early?  Was it a dream, a sudden realization, a sound, sight, or feeling, like a premonition?  If so, note what it was, what time, with as much detail as possible.  You should also note any dreams you may have had, even if they didn’t wake you.  Answers lie within.

04/10/26 – 3:24 pm – slow (OoBS) Moon goes Void-of-Course

Following a waning earth trine to Uranus, the Moon goes void-of-course for just over 1 1/2 hours, until entering Aquarius at 4:55 pm.  Set aside any new things that may come up until after the Moon enters Aquarius.

The waning pause and plan your next actions trine suggests that you may want to rethink your schedule or plans for today.  You may want to extend your plans through tomorrow, if you haven’t done so already.

Just 21 minutes later (3:45 pm), the slow Moon will return into the boundary of the Sun.  Some may sense a lessening of the energy pulling you back into the past.  Some may feel as if things are returning to “normal,” whatever that may be for them.  Keep in mind that what may seem like normal to you may be abnormal to someone else.

04/10/26 – 6:51 pm – slow Moon waning sextile Mars

As the day winds down, we have two complete something sextiles, to help us finish something.  With Mars in Aries, the tendency may be to go full speed ahead; however, with the second one bringing Neptune into the picture, restraint would be a better choice.  Use the Mars energy to help you maintain control and separate what is real from any Neptunian illusions as you complete something.

04/10/26 – 9:58 pm – slow Moon waning sextile Neptune

Don’t allow yourself to be misled by Neptune’s deception.  Use this energy to manifest a dream to guide you in the days ahead.

Hi-Lights for April 11-20

The 11th starts with the Moon conjunct Pluto while the 12th will end with Mars conjunct Neptune.  On the 14th Mercury will go void-of-course and then enter Aries.  There will be six aspects on the 15th, four of them conjunctions by the Moon.  There will be two more on the 16th as the Sun conjuncts Chiron to start the day and then Mercury conjuncts Neptune to end the day.  On the 17th the Moon will conjunct Chiron and then conjunct the Sun for the Aries New Moon after which they both go void-of-course.  On the 18th the Moon will go out-of-bounds North; then on the 19th we will have seven exact major aspects as the Sun enters Taurus.  The 20th starts with three sextiles by the Moon followed by Mercury conjunct Saturn, after which He will enter His Shadow followed by Mercury conjunct Mars in the afternoon.

Here are the basic astrological details of His Royal Highness, Prince of Cambridge. Weight 8 lbs. 6 oz., according to news reports, the heaviest future King by birth weight in 100 years of more. Correct birth time is July 22, 2013, 4:24 pm, London, England.

A true “cusper” with Sun 29 Cancer 58. Moon 28 Capricorn 17, which means that HRH was born less than 3 hours before the full Moon at 0 Aquarius. Birth ascendant is 27 Scorpio 10 and his birth M/C is 20 Virgo 36. He was born with 7 of the 10 primary points in Cardinal signs and 6 of them in water signs. He has a Grand Water Trine of Mars 6 Cancer and Jupiter 5 Cancer trining Saturn 5 Scorpio and trining Neptune 5 Pisces. He also has a Cardinal T-square with Mercury 13 Cancer opposing Pluto 9 Capricorn and both squaring Uranus 12 Aries. He has none of the 10 primary points in an Air sign and 3 of them are retrograde. 3 retrogrades is the second most common number, 2 being the most common. Born with Mars out-of-bounds north might he be a rather precocious child, to say the least.

    Hey Jim,
Source: Astronomical Phenomena For the Year 2013, prepared by US Naval Observatory and Her Majesty’s Nautical Almanac which defines lunar eclipse time as Moon reaching centermost point of its journey thorough the shadow cast by the earth, and solar eclipses timed for maximum obscuration — typically different from time of simple conjunction. However, I note the Rosicrucian Ephemeris, citing JPL and the US Naval Observatory call it at 5:21. I’m betting there’s yet another computation out there.

  14. Jim Schultz says:

Hi Dane, thank you for your comment. Not sure what your source for the eclipse time is. I use Solar Fire 8 for the dates and times I post. The time is based on the exact conjunction of the Sun and Moon which is 5:28 pm PDT. The NASA eclipse site shows a time of 5:26 pm PDT.

Oh boy! I am not an astrology student, however, I do enjoy reading your article every week. As a Taurus, I was happy to have read about the Mercury retrograde before it happens!
