All synapses are firing at the Full Moon on May 29, which features the Sun in the mentally agile air sign of Gemini opposing the Moon in the truth-seeking fire sign of Sagittarius. Any seed ideas that emerged at the values-based Taurus New Moon of May 15 should now be in full awareness and inspired into action. These mutable signs at this culminating moment of the Sun/Moon cycle are a welcome assist to lead us through the ‘winds of change’ heralded at the commencement of the cycle. At that time, many planets converged at the significant 0° degree point, including the future-oriented planet of innovation, Uranus, which commenced a new seven-year journey through Taurus. This period of endings and beginnings sets up the need to make choices about what we can leave behind and what is necessary to take forward into this significant new cycle on spaceship earth. The theme of this lunar cycle is to release attachments that will hold us back from engaging at a new level by learning to distinguish between what has genuine value in our lives and what does not. Recognizing the value in experiences and people that support our uniqueness is perhaps the best place to start. Tuning into the archetypes of Gemini and Sagittarius can help us make these distinctions as they share the understanding that new information leads to transformation. Whereas Gemini is the data gatherer, Sagittarius is able to holistically integrate that data so that it can turn into wisdom. Understanding the fullness of what we experience comes from assimilating the countless data bits we take in via the five senses as well as our dreams and intuition, and distilling it into the wisdom that can become our unique perspective. Opening to the Full Moon energies can inspire us to embark on the adventure of change and discover the truth of who we uniquely are.

The Gemini archetype gains momentum when Mercury enters its home sign on May 29. After being in slow-paced Taurus, Mercury’s quick two-week transit in Gemini correlates to light and witty thinking and talking. Experiencing the diversity in life is great fun through the Mercury in Gemini lens, especially when sharing the experience with others. The challenge here is to manage the urge to seek out these experiences by allowing periods of rest wherein they can be received and savored. It is in “the art of letting things happen” that is the lesson of Gemini where we learn that moments of stillness yield the true gift of intelligence, wisdom and love.

The challenge to be still will be especially strong once Mercury crosses into Gemini because when it does it engages in a trine to Mars in Aquarius that is exact and separating on June 1. Mars in Aquarius augments Mercury in Gemini’s mental agility and processing speed with rapid-fire decision-making that is geared for action. The Mercury/Mars pair unites mind and body to seek connections with intense curiosity. In breezy air signs, this pair is sure to liven up the week with original thinking and will be most effective when focused on serving a humanitarian need, group effort or anything that promotes freedom of expression.

As Mercury/Mars speedily processes the ideas sparking out of the Full Moon, a sublime grand water trine between Venus in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces is quietly generating vibrations of cosmic love that will likely manifest in subtle ways. This formidable astral structure radiates love in such a way that we may feel it in waves, its force woven into the atmosphere enveloping us with its grace. If we put attention to sensing its presence we will feel its power increase our ability to withstand any amount of stress. Imagine a great geodesic dome creating sacred space over spaceship earth and within its protective walls are the perfect acoustics to hear the music of the cosmos. The lyrical message of this sensitive, highly intuitive alignment is conveyed through coded symbolism and imagery that will move us in ways we can’t understand with the mind. Venus in Cancer aims to develop strong psychic bonds with others that provide safe space for each individual to express without fear of being vulnerable. It is only through expressing the darkness within and bringing it to light that we can be transformed. Jupiter in Scorpio allows us to see the tremendous opportunity in digging deep for the truth of who we are, which means boring through all the psycho muck to get there, embraced by supportive, loving witnesses all the way. Neptune in Pisces calls us to experience the oneness with the Divine in everything seen and unseen and to be conscious of the wholeness rather than the separateness between souls. The Venus/Jupiter/Neptune grand water trine calls us to consciously participate in this process and assist others to do so as well. It will inspire our talents within to be released from inhibiting fears as the way discover our true heart’s desire. This is the Divine Romance.
